How is Cinegration Development Part of the Future of Smart Energy Management?

Cinegration Development has spent the last several months working with leaders in the energy management industry to design and develop the world's first smart energy management solution for energy automation. CinDev developed the software to provide a stored energy management platform that allows smart homes to dynamically manage energy stored in the home's sonnen ecoLinx batterie. The software enables smart configurable backup, a weather response system, and smart energy consumption monitoring for Control4 systems using sonnen batteries.

With a sonnen ecoLinx batterie, an Eaton smartbreaker, and Cinegration Development's driver for Control4 systems, smart homes can now dynamically control the use of stored clean energy.

Check out the brochure to learn more about specific application and use cases and why integrators should offer this solution to customers.

What is Energy Automation?

Energy automation is the convergence of home automation and energy management, specifically enabling intelligent energy storage to manage how smart homes are powered. The ecoLinx “energy ecosystem” augments Control4 systems by integrating them with residential solar and energy storage, bringing clean tech to smart homes and enabling the ecoLinx to manage how energy is consumed and devices are powered throughout the home.

The operation of a smart home can be significantly enhanced by properly controlling how homes use energy. Traditional use cases center the home automation experience on providing the ultimate comfort and convenience to the homeowner by tailoring each system to their specific needs and wants. With energy automation, smart homes take this experience to another level by managing the energy consumption of the home without requiring the owner to plan or react to changes in energy availability, e.g., power outages or peak times of day.

Control smart home's stored energy in Control4! With automated responses to weather and changes in energy availability, smart homes have never been more efficient. This driver not only allows customers to dynamically manage their energy use, but also provides the ability to configure responses to weather conditions throughout the home. Watch the video to learn more about the sonnen energy management system.

Driver Highlights:
